I buy stuff, I try stuff

Blanket Scarf - Boohoo | Grey Turtle Neck Jumper - Boohoo | Blue wash Jeans - Cotton On | Clutch Bag - H&M | Red Lipstick combo - Maybelline Colour drama lip pencil in 510 Red Essential & Chi Chi Matte Lipstick in Corporate Femme

Holidays are almost up, and back to Uni I go in less than a week. I've recently made a few cheeky purchases online and in store. As you can tell (besides the shoes) I'm 101% ready for winter and 101% done with summer. I had a chance to wear the blanket scarf today and it easily has become one of my new favourite pieces. I'm in love with the colour blocking between the three neutral cool tones giving this more of a cosy feel. I've also been on a hunt for the perfect turtle neck jumper, and this boohoo one suffices. It's been a while since I've own a pair of lightly washed jeans such as so, so I'm glad i was able to snag a pair (or two, another in black) for just $23 each from Cotton on. Lastly, my look wouldn't be complete without my new red lippys which i experimented with and created an ombre effect (and loving it). I'm damn ready for winter.

Where I Keep 'em | Makeup, Brushes & Accessories

Organisation has been a big part of my life (and my room), so i'm sharing how i've sorted my things; Starting with my Makeup and Accessories. I'm a makeup lover, but i don't own many. However, I do have enough which can cover my whole face. From foundation, to eyeliner, to lipstick, many of these bits and bobs require a home where i can easily pick them up and apply.

I found this old large Smiggle box which i thought would make a great storage for my everyday makeup. Although its a large box of hollowness, i decided to add a few dividers into the box and have different categories for my makeup.

I've kept most items which i want to visibly see clearly (Such as face and new products) which i've kept at the back. For when i open the deep box, it will be easier for me to see these items. At the front, i keep my larger palettes for my eyes and cheeks which require a big space for them to fit in.

On my dresser, is where i like to keep some of the items which are more.. appealing to the eye. I Have an acrylic organiser which i keep my beloved lipsticks and high end palettes which i like to display. I don't own many makeup brushes, so i like to keep my tiny collection in a mason jar which conveniently holds them. I'm also a very symplastic girl, so i like to keep my things neat and organised, but also modern and simple. Using wire and tape, i made a jewellery tree to hang my more delicate (and only) silver jewellery. I found its the best way to keep my delicate pieces separated and in tact, but also serves as a good dresser piece for display.

January Favourites

New year, new blog? why not share some of the products that i've fancied during the month of January.

1 . MAC Satin Lipsticks - 'Spirit' & 'Cherish' | The only MAC lipsticks i actually own. Spirit & Cherish are no exception to being my go to everyday shades, as they complement my skin tone quiet well (so i like to think), for someone who has a fairly dark complexion. 'Spirit' is a dark brown nude, whilst 'Cherish' is a lighter nude brown with a hint of an apricot undertone.
2. MAC Lipliner - Spice | As the name applies, which is a warm brown/pink shade which i like to apply in unison with the Mac Lipstick in 'Spirit'.
3. Ralph Lauren - Ralph Eau De Toilette | Fresh & floral sent, A summer appropriate scent that brought me back to my early childhood.
4. Maybelline Age Revitalise Concealer | This concealer works wonders. Definitely conceals my under eye dark circles, whilst also highlighting the area in one go. I can even get away with just using this concealer, without wearing a foundation. An everyday staple.
5. Nars Contour Blush - Paloma | I received this as a gift for my birthday in November, and have only started to use this product on an everyday basis. Its a warm tone blush which gives a subtle contour to my complexion.
6. L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara | I've finally found the on Mascara that actually does wonders to my non-existent eyelashes. It lengthens, and creates volume if applied several times.
7. Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner | I've been adding eyeliner to my daily makeup routine lately, and so this product has been well used. It does what it says, gives a 'precise' line and flick to the tip of my line.
